A Homestuck Charity Project: 52stuck

So I don’t know how many of you have ever heard of the Broken Spell card deck project, but in a nutshell it was a huge project that pulled in a bunch of dA artists to make a gorgeous, original deck of cards which were then sold through KickStarter for charity.

After being in the Homestuck fandom for a little while and seeing how many amazing fanartists there are and just how many fans this series has, I realized that it’d be pretty awesome to organize a charity project. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, though, until I remembered Broken Spell. :) Making a deck of beautiful Homestuck cards would not only be REALLY COOL, but it would allow me to include as many artists as possible.

I’d need 56 artists total, 54 for the deck, one to illustrate the backs of the cards, and one who’d be willing to design a fancy box.

Anyhow, this post is just to gauge interest. Are there any artists who’d be willing to hop on board for this project? And how many Homestucks would want to purchase a deck of cards for charity? (right now I’m thinking each deck might be around $15, but I can’t be certain until the project’s underway and I know roughly how many decks will be printed…. I need to find a good printer, too!)

**Also, as far as Andrew’s policy on the sale of fanworks goes, I sent him an email a few weeks ago regarding my ideas for this but haven’t heard back from him yet. I know he only has an issue if a profit is being made, which there wouldn’t be since this is for charity, so I’m going to go ahead with this. If he puts the kibosh on this later, then I will have to respect his wishes. But until then, I’m making this happen :]
